Human Resources Coordinator



Facilities Management is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator. Duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and track all confidential employee record and related files.
- Work with University Departments to administer FMLA, Workers’ compensation and personal leaves of absence.
- Create and submit online requests pertaining to recruitment for new and vacant positions for staff, student employees
and interns, and temporary staff.
- Serve as the lead for administering bi-weekly payroll for union staff.
- Assist with the administration of collective bargaining agreements.
- Serve as backup for other Human Resources Coordinators as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.


Job Summary

Serves as a primary contact for faculty, staff, union, and students regarding all payroll actions and issues and provides support and guidance. Reviews and corrects record changes, payroll actions, employment forms, and payroll registers. Approves recruitment actions, requests, and reclassifications; onboards new and rehired faculty, staff, and students. Performs data entry and maintains all filing systems. Ensures accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.


Essential Functions

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Must have attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple efforts simultaneously. Attention to detail is critical, must be able to attain 100% accuracy for biweekly pay.


Physical Effort

Lift push or pull ten pounds or more. This is a sedentary position.
