Job Description
SUMMARY: The Associate UX Designer knows and adheres to Stride' design principles as defined by the UX team, marketing, and product management. They routinely as the design lead on existing and new software products and digital courseware projects. They may also be asked to participate in pre-build and ongoing UX and product research.
The Associate UX Designer focuses on designing and developing new or existing products including: applying engineering principles to develop software products that meet customer technical/functional specifications; determining if proposed designs are technically feasible; supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, development of prototypes. 1-3 years of related experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Developing wireframes and design components in design systems
· Creating and utilizing design system components
· Developing front end designs for both desktop and mobile use
· Writing user stories for planned designed work
· Collaborating with subject matter experts, product, and engineering teams
· Creating design and research documentation

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1-3 years of design experience developing front end designs for web applications and software products.
· Experience with Figma or related design software
· Experience developing front end designs for React and Angular built front end frameworks.
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience conducting user research interviews, user testing, and user flow optimization.
· Familiarity with with Jira and Agile working practices
· Bachelors Degree in related field

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
