The Research Assistant 1 (Temporary / Pat Time) contributes to Dr. Bravo's research study entitled, "CONTEXTUALIZING HELP-SEEKING OF LATINA COLLEGE STUDENTS EXPERIENCING SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND BEHAVIORS: A QUALITATIVE INQUIRY FROM MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES" by providing research support while following established protocols. The Research Assistant 1 (A) performs a clerical role to ensure the smooth operations of office facilities.



CORE JOB FUNCTIONS



Sets up and actively engages in recruitment efforts. Prepares correspondence and answers phones. Formulates and maintains bibliographies and completes applications and forms. Prepares literature reviews and edits various materials for publication and prepares publication schedules. Engages in qualitative data analyses. Maintains appropriate logs, records, and study notebooks. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

1 year research experience or current graduate student



Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred


• Previous experience with qualitative research preferred (using qualitative coding software,)


• Interest in pursuing a research career preferred


• Eager and quick learner


• Well-organized


• Time management and communication skills
