Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tax Accountant in Ashburn, VA.

Duties Include:

• Document Review and Analysis: Tax Accountant will review and prepare work papers from various departments; Analyze financial data to capture relevant income for tax purposes and perform annual compliance filings


• Team Leadership: Lead the team in identifying and interpreting tax consulting and compliance issues, including non-resident alien tax compliance; Provide tax instructions to accounts payable and payroll regarding payments to international individuals and vendors


• Liaison Duties: Act as a representative at departmental trainings and seminars; Prepare and present tax materials at workshops


• Consultation: Consult with department heads and staff to gather information on reporting requirements, account statuses, and specific statistical and accounting data


• Tax Research: As a Tax Accountant, you will conduct state and local tax research; Maintain and renew tax exemptions as needed


• Correspondence: Communicate with federal, state, and local tax authorities as necessary


• Problem-Solving: Participate in meetings, evaluate reporting issues, and recommend improvements


• Special Projects: Prepare special projects as requested by the supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed


• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
