Job Description:
Dentist with unrestricted license to practice in the US. Must be physically located within the US.
Will review prior authorization requests for dental services to determine medical necessity.
All review and decisioning is performed via electronic review.
Will be required to be available for peer-to-peer reviews that may be requested based on a negative action.
May be required to participate in a Fair Hearing should a negative action be appealed to explain the medical review process and decision making.
Supported by a Medical Director and a team of professionals doing similar work.
Part time position. Estimated 20-25 hours per week with increases when covering for leave of other physicians.
Position is for contract only, will not convert.
Can be practicing or nonpracticing.
Location - Remote anywhere in the US - Preferred but not needed, candidates in NV to come into office to examine X-rays.
