FactSet's Data Solutions primary aim is to deliver highly differentiated data, suitable for utilization on the FactSet workstation as well as by enterprise end-users. Data Solutions team collaborates with diverse strategic business units to identify the most crucial industry content initiatives propelling growth, while providing a seamless data experience for our clients. Working with a suite of offerings both "on" and "off-platform", Data Solutions focuses on delivering high value to our customers in their preferred format.

FactSet collects over 35 proprietary data sets and ingests over 800 third-party data sets, all of which are integrated into a proprietary data model and correlated with a master data symbology. This vast pool of data powers our award-winning FactSet Workstation. Additionally, we also offer a range of data delivery services that supply normalized data in various formats, like local data feed copies, APIs, and cloud-based options to meet all market, company, or alternative data requirements our clients may have.

Role/Department Description:

The Real Time Solutions business represents one of the key strategic areas of focus for the FactSet and for the Data Solutions unit, capitalizing on FactSet's collection and dissemination of global real-time exchange data and our complimentary historical time and sales data capabilities along with our end of day pricing and corporate actions data. The Real Time Solutions team takes a holistic approach that includes managing the existing business while accelerating ASV growth and driving product innovation.

The Tick History team is a critical component of FactSet's Data Solutions Unit, focusing on the collection and distribution of global real-time exchange data. This includes our unique capabilities in historical time and sales data, along with end of day pricing and corporate actions data.

As a Director of Tick History, you will drive the strategy, management and execution of the Tick History product roadmap to stimulate global growth. Success in this role necessitates collaboration and influence across diverse FactSet teams/departments such as sales, engineering, data collection, legal, and marketing. Externally, your role will involve promoting our Tick History business, tracking competition, and participating in industry conferences and thought leadership activities.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the development of new features for existing products, new product variants, and entirely new business lines within the Historical Market Data & Analytics space


  • Lead the full product lifecycle from definition and planning through production, release, and end of life, working closely with data collections & engineering teams


  • Communicate the strategy and delivery roadmap to both internal and external stakeholders at all levels


  • Empower and train the sales team via sales enablement activities


  • Execute go-to-market strategies and sales campaigns with global marketing team


  • Utilize subject matter expertise to effectively partner with our global sales team to drive business over the finish line on large generating ASV deals


  • Partner with client service to help maintain existing business


  • Liaise with product team on setting development priorities and evolving the product roadmap


  • Communicate the needs of the business to the data collection team


  • Collect and document client/market feedback


  • Pursue partnership opportunities and other business ideas


  • Develop exceptional industry and competitor knowledge


Required Skills:


  • Bachelors' degree with 15+ years of professional experience including:


  • 7+ years of direct experience with real time markets, exchange feed product development and Historical Market Data & Analytics


  • 5+ years in a client facing role in real time feeds, trading environments and Historical Market Data & Analytics


  • Proven track record in building teams and motivating people in a dynamic and matrix environment


  • Deep understanding of trading customers' data, analytics and workflow needs


  • Experience in bringing market data products to market in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.


  • Excellent organization and time managements skills


  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills


  • Ability to run effective meetings internally and with clients


  • Proven capability of effectively interacting with senior level FactSet and client contacts


  • Knowledge of off-platform products/business and/or exchange data a plus


  • Willingness to travel (10%) and ability to self-motivate


  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule from an office in Norwalk CT, NYC, Boston or London

The budgeted salary amount range for this position in the states of Connecticut and NY is $168,000 - $210,000
