Responsibilities
We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our Water District Team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering, focusing on water distribution systems and infrastructure. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to contribute to critical projects that impact water supply and distribution within our community.
Assist in the development and execution of water distribution and wastewater system improvement plans, including identifying areas for upgrades or expansion.
Collaborate with senior engineers to design water and wastewater infrastructure projects, conduct hydraulic analysis, and prepare construction plans and specifications.
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed engineering drawings and schematics for water distribution and wastewater projects.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, drawings, calculations, and correspondence with regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support various civil engineering projects within the Water District Team, contributing to the team's overall success and projects.
High school diploma.
Currently working toward a Bachelor or Master of Science in a civil or environmental engineering related curriculum in an ABET accredited university.
