The Product and Development team at Nicolet Bank is a passionate group focused on improving the lives of our employees and customers by way of innovative technology solutions. As a software developer in the Technology Department, you are empowered to have a significant impact on the Bank's overall success by integrating systems, streamlining and automated business processes, as well as greatly enhancing our customer's banking experience in branch, online, and on our mobile banking app.

You will be working with modern and exciting development technologies including Javascript, Java, React and React Native. In addition, you will have the opportunity to consume and create REST/ SOAP services which serve as the gateway between systems of record and customer facing applications both internally and externally.

This is a summer 2025 internship going from late May/early June through August 2025.

As a Software Developer Intern, you will:
  • Develop new features and functions that address defined business problems.
  • Develop reusable code snippets to improve overall team efficiency.
  • Document code in-line
  • Create technical documentation defining overall application/ code structure and methodology.
  • Unit test code; identify and fix defects or bugs.
  • Deploy features in adherence to AGILE project management methodology.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • PC, phone system, general office equipment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Java
  • Javascript
  • Understanding of object oriented programming languages
  • Understanding of Model-View-Controller paradigm
  • Experience with building and consuming APIs and services using REST and SOAP principles
  • Git/ Github or similar version control system
  • HTML
  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science
  • No prior work experience is required. 1-2 years of software development experience would be preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
