Job Description:


The Department of Statistics at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for one Teaching Assistant Professor position to begin in Fall 2025, pending budgetary approval. The position is outside the tenure stream, with the expectation of rolling multi-year contract renewals for the successful teaching faculty. Minimum qualifications are that candidates should have earned their Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related discipline by Fall 2025, have demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses, be capable of teaching applied master’s courses, and have an interest in innovative instruction. The normal teaching load is three courses each semester. Reductions in teaching may be possible depending on approved non-instructional activities supported by the teaching faculty.
