Job Summary


Galapagos is looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative individual to join our diverse team as an entry level Recruiter. In this part-time role, you will work closely with the Director of Recruiting and senior recruiters, contributing to the success of multiple business units and organizational clients.

The ideal candidate is passionate about learning the recruiting process, driven to achieve success, and eager to make a positive impact. You will play a crucial role in developing and supporting our recruiting infrastructure from the ground up.

Job Requirements:



Skills / Experience Required

  • 0 -1 or more years staffing experience
  • 0 - 1 years' staffing experience reviewing resumes
  • Prior experienced collaborating with senior managers, knowledge of job openings, sourcing candidates and screening candidates, interview processes, and promoting the organization's brand
  • Willing to learn the utilization of job boards, databases, platforms, network resources, etc. to advertise job opportunities
  • Willing to learn sourcing strategies, screening techniques, and qualifying candidates through a variety of mediums (social media, networks and associations, referrals, etc.)
  • Collects feedback, facilitates debrief conversations, and provides input recruiting senior management after interviews and assist in hiring decisions
  • Learn competitive recommendations on hiring salaries based on market trends, competencies, company standards and guidelines, etc.
  • Assist extending employment offers to successful candidates and onboarding processes
  • Assist developing robust candidate pipelines to ensure annual hiring needs are achieved
  • Supports special projects as assigned
  • Learn our consultive approach with hiring managers to determine critical capabilities, designing the staffing and sourcing strategy
  • 0 - 1 year's industry experiences utilizing computer skills and experience with applicable software (e.g., Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and adapt strategies accordingly

Education / Certifications


Minimum of a High School education
  • 0 - 1 years' experience performing staffing functions within a corporate environment

Security Clearance


Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.


Physical Requirements


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
