Plant Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial planning, analysis and reporting functions of the plant. Work as a key business partner with plant management team helping to improve efficiencies, increase cost savings and achieve plant's performance targets. The Plant Finance Manager will act as a liaison between operations and business units to proactively contribute to the company's significant growth objectives while improving total cost of operations, not merely reporting out.

*What You Do.*

* Direct the financial control and accounting activities of the plant to assure accurate and timely preparation, recording, transmissions, analysis and communication of data necessary to control operations.

* Help develop, monitor and report on various KPIs and performance measures relevant to the plant, identifying areas for improvement.

* Manage month end closing process for the plant, ensuring accuracy of transactions. Lead variance analysis including direct labor, overhead spend, material consumption, fixed volume leverage, production performance.

* Prepare financial and operating reports for plant personnel, management and corporate finance team. Analyze performance against forecast and budgets.

* Lead the development of annual budget and forecasts with strong plant operations engagement on the production floor.

* Analyze plant operating costs in detail and recommend action to increase profitability and enhance long-term return on investment.

* Assist in developing key assumptions for BOMs and routings for new items, as well as evaluation of current items on a regular basis.

* Assist in preparation of CAR financial justifications for plant capital projects, with strong collaboration between engineering and plant management team.

* Manage Capital Planning budget and reporting process. Review capital project spending, timing and cost impact against project plan, forecasts and budget to understand and report variances. Work with project manager to assure timely capitalization of equipment placed in use. Perform CAR post audits to verify savings.

* Provide decision support on short-, medium- and long-term strategies / issues through the use of data, sensitivity analysis, and business understanding.

* Ensure internal controls are in place and accurate. Assist with audit requests.

* Complete other tasks and Ad Hoc analysis as assigned.

 

*Your Education and Experience.*

* B.S. in Accounting, Finance or related field required, CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required, minimum of five (5) years of increasing responsibility in manufacturing environment, with strong understanding of standard cost and variance reporting.

* Knowledgeable in the areas of GAAP, cost accounting, fixed assets, and operation performance analysis.
