Job Description

The PLTC provides tutoring and other academic support programs and services to students by request or referral. This position works closely with HR/student employment to onboard , supervise, train and oversee payroll for more than 200 student peer educators each semester. The Coordinator liaises with faculty and academic department staff to recruit and assign tutors to fill open positions, assists the Director with peer educator training, monitors payroll and budget expenditures, prepares and disseminates reports. The Coordinator collaborates with 26 different departments and supports more than 200 courses. The Program Coordinator is an essential staff member in the PLTC department. This is a temporary position working 17 hours a week, with an anticipated end date of October 31, 2024. There is a possibility of extending the contract based on performance and organizational needs.



Education:


  • College Degree, Masters degree preferred.


Experience:

  • 3 years administrative experience.


S kills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).

  • Ability to exercise initiative, work independently, set priorities, work under pressure coordinate a variety of task simultaneously, be self-directed and solve problems.

  • Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and web editing software. Experience with TracCloud is a plus.
