Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is looking for a full-time Project Controls Analyst to join our team. This person will supervise a project controls team while successfully providing project controls on a portfolio of projects. The successful candidate can be based in our Atlanta (Sandy Springs) or Columbus (Hilliard) Ohio offices. Other Kleinfelder offices could be considered, but the successful canidate will be required to regularly go into the office. Analysts perform tasks in support of project scheduling, costs, documents and reporting activities. This position will assist Project Managers and Program Managers with the development and organization of project data such as fee estimates, earned value, status reports, costs reports, backlog projections and resource needs.

Consideration for a Project Controls Analyst position requires the following certifications or experience:


  • Associate's degree in Finance, Business or Project Management - Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience to include project and accounting experience

  • Self-motivated, minimal supervision, detail-oriented professional

  • Advanced skills in Excel and advanced spreadsheet functions preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

  • Demonstrate team collaboration, communication, organization, and self-prioritization skills.

As a Project Controls Analyst, you will be expected to:


  • Track status / cost - Assist with data collection and implementation of accounting methods, budget tracking, earned value, status reports, and cost projections based on Project Manager or Senior Project Controls Analyst direction

  • Support project teams in aspect of document management and collaboration websites. Work to ensure the project file structure complies with Kleinfelder guidelines where applicable.

  • Assist the project team with invoicing and other project accounting functions as needed

  • Assist in the logical creation of additional folder structure, usage, and document filing for all areas of the project

  • Assist with project tasks such as permit applications, agency regulation coordination, project funding, community relations and project communications
