Core Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA lawsEscort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices and treatment roomsTriage patients as necessaryRecord patient data prior to each physicians visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration), height, weight, head circumference, allergies, and medication changesObtain necessary patient records as required by physician and verify consent prior to treatment or proceduresAssist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures, including but not limited to injections, dermatologic procedures, pelvic exams, EKGs, eye exams, managing dressings, POC lab tests, and performing x-rays (training provided)Administers medications orally, vaginally, and rectally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and intradermally. Administering prescribed drops to the nose, eye, and ear, applying antibiotic ointments to the inside of the lower eyelidPrepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as neededMaintain proper disinfection protocolsSchedule patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointmentsComplete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imagingComplete all forms used by the provider, including but not limited to, growth charts, MPE, pap forms, cytology-pathology forms, etc.Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the providerAdminister vaccines and injectionsOther duties as necessary (ECGs, peak flow, spirometry, POC testing such as strep, COVID, flu, RSV, and HCG)

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, requiredGraduate of accredited practical nursing program, requiredCurrent LPN licensure in appropriate state, requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required
