TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Manager- Quality Manufacturing located in Byhalia, MS.

Responsible for directing and administering the quality program to ensure company standards and specifications related to product quality and reliability are met through supplier certification and plant process controls while managing the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide direction and leadership to the Quality department including people management.

  • Facilitate management review activity.

  • Serve as, or lead, the Management Representative, whose primary responsibility is to ensure that the facility meets internal policies and requirements, customer requirements, and facility specific quality systems.

  • Manage quality personnel (Electrical and Mechanical Engineers), to include: scheduling, performance evaluation and planning, training/development, coaching, counseling, discipline and leading in accordance with TKE policies and procedures.

  • Devise and implement quality systems/procedures that provide continuous improvement methodology supporting engineering consistency, design and advanced quality planning.

  • Supervises, trains, coaches, evaluates and counsels Engineers and Technicians.

  • Develop, maintain and improve a quality system that yields the performance metric goals on the strategic plan.

  • Develops and maintains a quality plan for new product introduction in support of the new products design process.

  • Consults with sub-plants, suppliers, customers, Quality Engineers, Product and Design Engineers via oral and written communications to determine root cause of component and product failures as well as design issues.

  • Serves on the Advanced Quality Planning team to evaluate and direct resources toward plant product in-process failure resolution.

  • Develops, administers and insures adherence to departmental budget.

  • Provides Engineering and Technical Operations with failure data and component history.

  • Collaborates with other departments in clarifying failure definitions

  • Identify and develop resources required to support customers' product-specific regulatory affairs needs and requirements.

  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer service and other functional areas.

  • Provide technical support and coordinate quality related issues on new and existing projects.

  • Coordinate internal quality system audits and track actions needed and taken.

  • Work with management to establish quality goals and objectives.

  • Develop procedures and plans to support the development of his/her departmental reports.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports to management of all Field Engineering issues and actions.

  • Must be an active participant in relevant councils / steering teams to promote consistency and excellence within the discipline across the Corporation.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.

  • ASQ, CQE or equivalent certifications are required.

  • Five or more years' experience in quality, business, engineering field or other technical field with minimum of 10 years' experience in a quality role, with at least five years in a management role.

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in an ISO environment required.

  • Possess ability to read blueprints and have an understanding of geometric tolerances.

  • Possess ability to work with all levels within the organization, as well as customers and vendors.

  • Demonstrated team leading, problem solving and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated strength in statistical analysis and technical writing a plus.

  • Possess strong leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Possess strong decision making and prioritization skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.

  • Must have excellent ability to analyze and organize daily activities to support the organization in a timely and efficient manner.
