ROLE OVERVIEW:

We seek a seasoned Shipping/Receiving Department Manager who will be integral to the plant core leadership team and lead the Shipping/Receiving Department. As a Shipping/Receiving Department Manager, you will be in a leadership role, supervising warehouse operations, fleet maintenance, and shipping and receiving functions for our brand-new state-of-the-art 350,000+ sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will also include supervising record-keeping activities for incoming and outgoing shipments and coordinating the daily activities of operations or business colleagues.

Main responsibilities


  • Supervises a team of shipping coordinators/leads with a dotted line to hourly colleagues across three shifts, supporting the shipping department's operation within our manufacturing facility.

  • Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed.

  • Possesses a thorough understanding of trucking and transportation industries and regulations, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving processes.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrates the ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to supervise less experienced colleagues effectively.

 Education/Experience:


  • Typically, this role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4-8 years of relevant experience, including leadership experience.

  • Strong computer and communication skills.

  • MS Excel and ERP Systems knowledge a plus
