Position Summary

As part of the Regenerative Medicine team, we are seeking a skilled Research Associate to join an exciting, fast-paced, and well-financed company. The Research Associate II will be integral in developing stem cell-derived therapies for regenerative medicine. They will have strong cellular and molecular biology skills with extensive experience in analytical test methods and pluripotent stem cells. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a desire to create novel therapies for patients.

Responsibilities


  • Conduct time sensitive experiments and analyze data under the direction of a Research Scientist.

  • Culture human stem cells including maintenance, expansion, and differentiation to various lineages.

  • Utilize aseptic cell culture methods, including cryopreserving, thawing, and expanding cell lines.

  • Point person for conducting key analytical testing (FACS, IHC, ELISA) of differentiated and edited cells.

  • Perform research requiring molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA analysis, qPCR/ddPCR, and other plate-based assays.

  • Help with research operations in the lab including preparation of reagents, ordering supplies, and organizing lab space

  • Prepare detailed research reports and present findings to internal groups.


Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in biology or related discipline and 2-4+ years of relevant experience or 0-2 years with advanced degree

  • Prior experience with mammalian cell culture techniques

  • Extensive experience with PCR, FACS, IHC, ELISA

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Track record of intellectually challenging oneself to enhance scientific abilities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a results-oriented research team.

  • Highly organized with significant attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance and differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells

  • Expertise in analytical testing

  • Prior experience with in vitro assay development
