Aspen Equipment is seeking an experienced, dynamic and top-performing Sr Manager, Planning & Scheduling in the manufacturing and supply chain spaceto join the leadership team. This leader is responsible for the oversight and control of all planning and scheduling activities at 5 locations. This leader will have the ability to interact with a variety of team members at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
This position will be based out of any of our Aspen facilities and reports to the VP/GM Aspen Equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Master Scheduler
Spearheads the implementation of the fabrication/subcontractor and materials schedules, including identification of MPS gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demand in support of SIOP. Plans, schedules, and manages the MPS on a 12-month rolling basis for 5 locations to ensure on-time customer delivery.
Defines and provides a strategy to improve the planning accuracy. Identify, analyze and initiate the root causes corrective action for the MPS adherence deviations. Develop process improvements through continually evaluating and improving master planning methods to eliminate waste and improve departmental quality.
Gatekeeper of all sales orders. Reviews and confirms new customer orders acknowledging that requested dates can be met. Timely review of customer demand and provide feedback to the Customer Service and Sales teams.
Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Proactively communicate across the organization scheduling issues and opportunities to ensure deliveries are met and objectives are achieved. Informs management of customer requirements that cannot be met.
Maintains MRP data such as calendars, resources, and zones etc. Responsible for data integrity within the system.
Master Planner
Proactively manage branch constraints in conjunction with production to ensure leveling of manpower to maintain effective and efficient schedule plan. Communicate and escalate any deviations. Act as the information hub for all issues concerning/impacting delivery schedules.
Integrates with multiple functions to drive and develop monthly forecast. Uses Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process fundamentals.
Collaborates with Program Management to synchronize Customer demand with Shop capacity. Uses metrics, analytical tools and methods to identify actions and deploy processes and systems to effectively and efficiently schedule and utilize shop capacity.
Leads and supports Continuous Improvement methods to analyze trends and improve responsible processes that impact Customer On-Time Delivery performance.
Coordinators to deploy systems and processes to plan and schedule shop and balance demand with capacity.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, potential project problems and recommended solutions. Interfaces with all functional area managers to understand unusual or anomalous factors that may affect manufacturing schedules or impact planned capacity.
Helps develop work around plans and build ahead or recovery plans. These factors may include but are not limited to: unplanned or unforeseen material shortages, facility renovation, site plan change, staffing issues etc.
Materials/Parts Management
Ensure material forecasts align with production plans in forecast planning for accurate supplier information communication. Establish the required quantities and availability of materials needed to meet customer demand and oversee the release of shop orders accordingly.
Ensure adequate inventory of materials and parts in accord with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. Interface with purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory. Lead the implementation of plans to minimize risk for shortages and ensure successful customer delivery.
Conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory problems and develop and implement inventory control procedures. Responsible to ensure lean principles are applied to part flow and all other material planning activities.

Participates in and contributes to the Leadership team to develop strategies, resource requirements and continuous improvement plans to attain performance objectives in service, operating costs, asset management and safety.
Provide leadership to Operations employees and team leaders. Ensure they are engaged, trained, and contribute to the success of the site.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred in Business Management or like
Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Master Scheduler in a specialized custom manufacturing space
