Operator 2 will be required to have full understanding of the company, safety, customer, inspection, etc. specifications and procedures.
Individuals in this class will be able to operate manufacturing equipment on their own but only when an Operator 1 is present.
Specific skills vary by department placement. These skills can include
Using Air operated hand tools
Working with high temperature equipment and tools
Use of various measuring instruments including protractor, scale, calipers and micrometers
Forming equipment such hydraulic forming presses
Band saws
Debur machines
Drill presses
Attention to detail and thorough completion of projects.
Must be able to work effectively as an individual or with a team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Practical experience with sound technical skills, analytical ability, decisive, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
Results and solution-oriented
Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Production quality assessment; producing quality parts within company/customer specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
Record production data as required such as: quality, labor reporting, manufacturing time, scrap, and downtime information
Competent in product evaluation, following work orders, reading blueprints and customer specifications, GD&T Knowledge and verifying dimensions with precise measuring tools.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
Highly motivated self-starter
Strong reading, writing and math skills
Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable
Exposure to complex materials systems and processes
Interpersonal skills & friendly attitude
Ability to work overtime or alternate shift when required
Ability to work with close tolerances
Ability to work in a team and independently
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to talk or hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must have the capability of lifting 25lbs constantly through the day with little to no assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
