About the Role First PREMIER Bank is looking to add a Compliance Analyst to our Compliance Team. This role is responsible to help management accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of regulatory, control, and governance processes. Compliance is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based reviews in accordance with the annual approved program, as well as assisting with other regulatory matters and projects.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Becomes proficient in at least four major compliance regulations/business processes.
Able to conduct training and education of Bank/Bankcard personnel independently through formal and informal methods.
Consult with the business on matters related to operations and customer relations and provide advice on risks and controls.
Independently review operational and customer facing processes and make recommendations for changes to processes and/or procedures.
Conduct independent interviews with the business and utilize judgment to make conclusions.
Authority to review, interpret and/or affect policies or operating practices.
Provide consultation or expert advice to management.
Investigates and resolves matters of significance on behalf of company.
Assist in planning projects and/or reviewing workpapers as assigned.
Prepare reports and communicate with affected personnel and management.
Attend various business/task forces meetings as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Must possess a strong understanding of Bank regulations and operations.
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3 to 5 years of industry experience preferably in a banking or financial organization.
Demonstrated organizational, confidential, and independent work experience necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient knowledge of the structure and content of the English language is required, including the meaning, rules of composition, and grammar.
Performs job functions accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
