Location/Division Specific Information
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, our Unity Lab Services division provides integrated lab service, support, and supply management. As a Senior Site Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering world-class scientific support services. This includes order entry, order management, customer procurement systems, stockroom services, material handling, shipping/receiving, chemical tracking, and glasswash operations. You may also be involved in media preparation and cell culture support operations.
What will you do?
Use Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management electronic systems to carry out different tasks, such as on-site program replenishments, order entry, resolving customer service requests, and handling product returns.
Provide laboratory services including order delivery, glassware processing, biological waste processing, chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation, and media preparation
Analyze, maintain, and reconcile various customer and company reports to ensure partner requirements are met
Follow established work processes and procedures
Listen to customer concerns, address issues with a goal of resolution, and proactively communicate any concerns or potential problems to the supervisor
Engage in process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Perform other responsibilities assigned by management
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience
2-3 years of equivalent experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services
Demonstrated customer service, verbal, written, and presentation skills
As a Senior Site Specialist, you must possess exceptional customer service skills, both verbal and written. Your ability to effectively communicate in English is essential, as is your commitment to delivering excellent customer service. You should have the interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with various levels of Thermo Fisher personnel and customers. Proficiency in using handheld scanners, performing data entry functions, and working with Microsoft Office suite of software is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are crucial. This role primarily involves working at customer sites, which may require you to work independently. Personal protective equipment may be required in certain areas of the building. The ability to lift, push, and pull weights of up to 30-40 pounds consistently is necessary.
