We are seeking a recent college graduate to work with our NEMs Sales Team as part of a mentorship program. Initial responsibility will be an Application Engineer who will be responsible for Pre and Post Sales Customer Support of Viavi’s Lab and Production products into the Network Equipment, Module Manufacturer, and Passive Component Ecosystems within NA. During this time, the candidate would be mentored as an Account Executive for a Sales role. In the initial role, the candidate will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and scripting assistance. This role will actively participate with Regional Accounts Managers along with Manufacturers Representatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Become expert on the operation and use of Viavi’s Parametric Test Tools


• Provide product demonstrations and manage product evaluations to support Viavi Sales and Partners.


• Provide product training and technical support to Viavi customers.  Work with customers to use tools and develop their test scripts and designs. 


• Participate in cross-functional processes with Sales, Marketing and Engineering.  Bring customer feedback into the product development process and help shape product direction.


• Work with Account Managers and Partners to manage and sustain the demo pool.


• Need to align with other regions to support Manufacturing locations.


• Drive alignment of customer needs with Viavi product development roadmap(s)


• Ability to travel within US, Canada, and Mexico.


• Currently has US Passport or ability to obtain upon employment.

Required Qualifications:

• BS Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, or EE with Optical Physics specialization.


• Demonstrated use of Python or LabView for data collection and/or analysis
