We’re glad you’re exploring our 2nd shift Maintenance Technician position at our location in Columbia City and want to share some details.
In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of building and equipment maintenance including welding, fabricating, machining, AC and DC electrical, electronics, plumbing inert gas lines, troubleshooting, and general maintenance duties. You will need a high school diploma or GED equivalent, 2 years experience in the industrial maintenance field, and proficiency in welding, fabricating, and machining.
SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic computer functions.
Possess basic math, reading, and writing skills.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
General mechanical aptitude.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Fast-paced production environment.
Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
Overtime may sometimes be required.
Potential exposure to drawing oils and powders, hydrogen, nitrogen, acids and industrial alcohol.
Appropriate PPE must be worn where posted and required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second or third floors.
Standing/walking most of shift.
Required to lift 50 lbs.
Bending, stooping, climbing, and working on and around all sizes and types of equipment.
