The purpose of this position is to handle the day-to-day operations and collections from Publix Business Accounts (PBA) customers. These customers are businesses that have a special account with Publix so they can buy on credit. This position is accountable for the compliance and collections, with the goal of reducing bad debt losses.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience
3 years’ experience in accounting or in any retail position
Knowledge of analytical techniques
Written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities with multiple interruptions
Ability to take initiative
Ability to work under deadlines
Professionalism and interpersonal skills
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word)
Must be self-motivated
Must be flexible and highly productive
Must exhibit professionalism and the ability to deal with confidential subject matter
Must be able to work a variable works schedule including weekends and overtime
Willingness to be a team player
5 years’ experience in accounting or in any retail position
Knowledge and understanding of Collection Law
Knowledge of Publix and federal policies and regulations regarding protection of personal information including PII, PCI and HIPAA
Knowledge of SAP, Vantiv IQ and BASE24
