Job Overview

Coordinate custodial, grounds, mail services, maintenance, and other physical plant needs with the appropriate offices and university departments.


Essential Functions

  • Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and monitoring of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water, electric and other systems to ensure efficient operation.

  • Oversee operations relating to campus grounds and snow removal.

  • Determine housekeeping needs daily and coordinate with housekeeping personnel.

  • Review work backlog to determine priorities

  • Oversee and coordinate campus mail needs, both intercampus and metered parcels.

  • Administer policies and procedures relating to operations.

  • Administer budget and monitor expenditures. Approve all purchase requisitions for materials and service.

  • Inspect completed daily work.

  • Maintain physical equipment inventory records.

  • Serve as liaison to Public Safety, Food Services, and Parking Services.

  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.


Required Education

Bachelor's degree


Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.


Required Experience

Three (3) years related work experience.


Additional Qualifications Considered

May require supervision experience.
