Job Summary

NPR Material Handler is responsible for assessment, physical processing, and removing of all Non-Performing Raw Materials on the production floor.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Review daily all Non Performing Materials associated and their reject documents. Quarantine tagging and removal of tags for products being held and released.


  • Access NPR materials and information provided for vendor credit, scrap or reassessment.


  • Work with BUL’s for line time to run materials designated for reassessment. Utilize available tools to improve materials so that they can be run (i.e. Core expander, slabbing material etc.).


  • Document and provide information to QA for all NPR materials designated for vendor credit and scrap.


  • Remove and process all NPR materials from the floor daily.


  • Operate powered material handling equipment to pull material from line and after processing remove to the correct location for scrap, vendor credit or reassessing.


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

2-5 years manufacturing experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

MUST HAVE Basic computer knowledge (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook).

Must be trained on basic material specifications and how to inspect.

Must be trained and certified to operate a fork truck (sit down or stand up)

Must be trained to use the core expander

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent bending and kneeling.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Associates Degree

Work Experience:


  • 2-3 years as a diaper machine operator or quality inspector


  • 2-3 years of fork truck experience
