POSITION SUMMARY:

This role incorporates a customer-focused approach to compliant sales training and development, including consultative skills, managed care and market development skills. This position will develop and implement sales and sales management specific training programs; plan, organize, and facilitate all sales training events. This role is responsible for working closely with all commercial and promotional sales leaders and personnel to develop and enhance skills and capabilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (but are not limited to):


  • Participate in the ongoing design and delivery of the Clinical Specialist (CS) Training and Development Program (CSDP), for example Initial Sales Training (IST), selling skills enhancement, business and clinical acumen, etc

  • Identify developmental needs in managed markets and Organized Health Systems (OHS) (business acumen) to train the field.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop content and facilitation as required for managed markets, OHS, and compliance policies

  • Provide risk-assessment tracking and other established mechanisms for risk assessment and in carrying out solutions

  • Work with leadership to understand and assess the field's unmet needs and translate internally for appropriate follow up

  • Monitor, measure, and track success of the implementation of the curriculum

  • Effectively collaborate in cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and execute training support for unmet and ongoing needs

  • Participation and coaching in all CS productivity programs built around the Platform concept

  • Development, execution, and/or support of specific Regional and Area Initiatives Training regiments

  • Responsible for managing training related expenses impacting overall training budget

  • Collaborate and coordinate CS field rides with appropriate ASMs to provide coaching support and gain additional field intelligence

  • Territory introduction of new CS's field rides and organization assimilation to field with co-ordination of ASM needs

  • Partner with external vendors and providers to develop content and facilitate sessions

  • Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the Sales Leadership team.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in education, business, marketing or relevant discipline required

  • Minimum 3 years in formal healthcare or pharmaceutical sales, sales training, and/or sales training management required

  • High level of pharmaceutical compliance experience to support and coach daily activities relating to pharmaceutical compliance.


COMPETENCIES/CONDUCT :

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the employee will demonstrate:


  • Strong communication skills including upfront facilitation experience and presentation creation.

  • Experienced in developing analyses to expose potential risks and gaps that need corrective action or preventative action in pharma selling platforms.

  • Has demonstrated strong selling skills, clinical and business acumen to expand product usage.

  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of Organized Health Systems (OHS) and ability to transfer that knowledge to others.

  • Demonstrated effective delivery of key customer programs including communication strategies, customer training, issue resolution and utilization reporting.

  • Preferred experience in in designing, developing and delivering training curriculum

  • Proven track record as effective mentor, coach & internal consultant - ability to lead and motivate

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-culture environment is necessary.

  • Must be able to travel up to 75%
