Job Description:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) Digital Portfolio will plan, manage and develop strategies and ensure profitable performance for a multifaceted digital portfolio. This leader will establish and execute business building efforts focused on key customer segments to optimize volume, revenue, profit and customer satisfaction and will ultimately be responsible for digital portfolio marketing.
This leader will spearhead the development of digital capabilities that complement FedEx's existing transportation portfolio. With a strong commercial focus, the SVP will innovate the digital expression of transportation, with an emphasis on enhancing returns and post-purchase capabilities for customers. This leader will spearhead the development of new digital business models across priority segments including ecommerce and healthcare. These initiatives will introduce new revenue-generating capabilities for FedEx.



Essential Functions



· Create differentiation through new digital experiences and products that ultimately drive revenue growth. This includes global experiences across all customer segments including fedex.com and all digital interactions on the platform - account sign up, shipping, visibility (tracking), scheduling pickups, managing claims, digital invoicing, etc. Success measured by ease of use, lowering costs by increasing self service capabilities, account growth and new revenue streams.



· Manage a global team in both Memphis and Amsterdam. Build, lead and inspire a matrixed, highly effective digital organization in a fast-paced, dynamic and intensely competitive industry. Drive high level of ownership/ accountability and productivity to deliver stellar business results.



· Responsible for customer driven design including digital experience design and end to end experience design.



· Responsible for the commercialization of data and digital platforms including monetizing data opportunities and launching the new fdx platform.



· Manage customer research/insights including measurement of customer experience architecture (eg: global Net Promotor Score - NPS).



· Understand the changing customer needs and deliver a frictionless experience for internal and external customers.






Minimum Education



Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in marketing, communications or related field.




Minimum Experience



Ten (10) years professional experience in one or more of the following: marketing, experience in a service industry or product software, with experience in research, marketing analysis, marketing planning, including a significant level of previous management experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master's degree equals two (2) years experience. Sound business judgement, excellent written/verbal communications skills, and human relations skills.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


· Ability to lead a global team of digital product owners working closely with IT to deliver outstanding digital experiences that create digital differentiation


· Experience with product marketing and commercializing digital solutions (e.g. SAAS)


· Expert understanding of software development processes (e.g. SAFe Agile)


· Transformation and growth agent; experience in working to be quick, agile teaming, learning and innovation-oriented


· Strong business and technical acumen and commercial mindset


· Travel required


· May assume additional areas of responsibility as needed
