Job Summary:

As the Quality System coordinator, you will have the autonomy to recommend and establish new processes and build on our existing Quality Management System to ensure the QMS is standardized, implemented, and maintained. You will stay abreast of the latest technology in sustainability and quality management in order reach our Quality goals and objectives. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Essential Functions:

  • Analyse and administer all Quality Management System (QMS) Requirements and Processes in the organization.
  • Monitor, update and keep current the QMS, including work instructions, documents, and records.
  • Train and lead employees in all aspects of the quality management system
  • Schedule and Lead Internal audits.
  • Manage External Registrar Audits by coordinating activities as well as ensuring timely response to documentation requests for auditors.
  • Assist with AS9100 & Customer Specific Requirements implementation regarding Documentation and Procedures across all departments.
  • Receive, review, and distribute any changes and/or updates to AS9100 & Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Promote and assist problem solving capabilities ensuring proper identification of root cause and corrective action relative to audit findings.
  • Assist in problem solving, implementation of corrective and preventative actions, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Supports user requests for documentation and trains users in Document Control.
  • Responsible for coordinating document change orders, facilitates review, approval and retention of approval records.
  • Monitor and report on how the QMS is performing, which will include KPI’s, countermeasures and tactical action tracking.
  • Manage and maintain the quality management software – TipQA.
  • Manage the gage calibration process
  • Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies
  • Undertake other duties as determined by the Quality Director or his/her delegate

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • None.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

  • Knowledge and experience working with AS9100/TS16949/ISO 9001 Standard
  • Knowledge of Systems based design and related Standards/Processes
  • Internal auditor training and experience
  • Solid understanding of Continuous Improvement with proven track record of implementation
  • Effective and profession communication and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to drive sights
  • Ability to present to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently.
  • Must promote collaboration and facilitate teamwork across the organization and its external service providers. Must be tactful, diplomatic, and work with integrity, honesty, and respect for others.
  • Customer Oriented: Must display exceptional listening and analytical skills in order to understand customer concerns and needs with the ability to respond promptly and effectively to those needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to work effectively with the US team, suppliers, customer, and corporate parent staff.
  • High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task; balancing "analysis" with "doing".
  • Must be adaptable and able to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Work on own initiative.

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience with a high school diploma

Background Prerequisites:

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
  • All employment at ARV is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if the position requires it.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Business, Quality, Engineering, or other relevant discipline desired
