Title: Director of Incentive Compensation:




Location: Boston or Dallas (3 days a week in office)



The Director of Incentive Compensation will be a key member of the Galderma Commercial Excellence IC team, reporting to the Head of US SFE. This position is responsible for the design and administration of incentive compensation plans and contests in support of Galderma's Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatological Skincare, and Therapeutic Dermatology Business Units.



Key Responsibilities



  • Drive design and adoption of "best in class" compensation practices in the pharma industry

  • Lead the Incentive Compensation team, responsible and accountable for the design and on-going administration of sales incentive compensation plans. Ensure plans motivate field personnel and support the commercial sales objectives. Build appropriate reporting and tracking for key stakeholders.

  • Partner with Commercial Business Intelligence organization to appropriately integrate and present "holistic data landscape" with robust actionable insights related to incentive compensation.

  • Identify tool improvements, system automation, and data enhancements based on historical IC performance and feedback collected from the Sales leadership

  • Anticipate customer needs and market trends by being externally and internally focused and leveraging a deep understanding of stakeholders

  • Identify opportunities to enhance Galderma's competitive advantage through innovative and motivating incentive strategies

  • Perform analysis on different compensation plan changes to understand the impact on the business and partner with sales leadership on the evolution of the compensation plans as the product matures.

  • Ensure all plan designs are communicated accurately to maximize comprehension and engagement

  • Communicate quarterly accrual forecasts effectively to leadership, ensuring alignment between compensation plans and financial budgets.

  • Advise senior leadership of potential compliance risks and recommend appropriate action plans

  • Maintain and ensure consistent compliance with a quarterly cadence IC calendar by leveraging highly effective organizational skills to facilitate timely submission of deliverables.




Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, required

  • Master's degree preferred

  • 12+ years of Commercial Operations progressive experience, within a corporate environment is required, direct pharmaceutical manufacturer experience required

  • Strong understanding of complex specialty markets (e.g. dermatology, injectables, immunology) with the ability to simplify complex content to ensure key messages are effectively delivered to customer stakeholders.



  • Experience working with and reporting on syndicated prescription data, field force execution, and related national Wholesaler data sets (e.g. IQVIA, Veeva CRM, 852/867, HUB, SP Dispense)

  • The ideal candidate will possess expertise within the Incentive Compensation construct, is someone who is excited by working on complex business issues and is able to find creative options and innovative solutions in a constantly changing environment.

  • Proven ability to provide leadership in a team based on a matrix environment without direct authority and through influence and expertise

  • Advanced Excel skills required (advanced lookup functions, pivot-tables, and data management).

  • Experience with data querying and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

  • A strategic and innovative thinker with a proven ability to build relationships with key internal leaders to achieve consensus or negotiate through complex challenges

  • Proven track record of effective vendor management

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple compensation projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and often changing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively in the absence of complete information and be comfortable with appropriate risk

  • Analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills

  • Track record of creating scalable process improvements

  • 10% travel to regional and national meetings
