Position: Senior Software Engineer



Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Participates in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team. Participates in the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams; and obtaining cross-function approvals. Works with a team of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes. Provides support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues; identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and guiding cross-functional partnership. Identifies key performance metrics for solutions and drive the future project plan to improve the customer experience. Implements integration test suites/automation for application which would reduce work on development team to validate apps after every deployment. Performs troubleshooting for production issues and work with technical product teams to identify the root-cause analysis, perform fixes and document them for future references. Performs continuous monitoring of solutions and build products to enhance the overall process.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience building enterprise systems using NoSQL databases including Cassandra, Couchbase and Elasticsearch. Experience building large scale real time messaging systems using Kafka. Experience designing and implementing low latency REST APIs in Spring and Java. Experience developing large scale applications using various data structures and algorithms in Java. Experience building systems with Relational databases including Oracle and MySQL. Experience building distributed computing and streaming systems. Experience building search features by indexing data in Elasticsearch. Experience analyzing production issues by looking logs in Splunk. Experience building cloud native applications using Docker. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills
.




Salary Range: $150,762/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
