The VP of EHS, Regulatory and Quality plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization prioritizes the health and safety of its employees and the environment, operates in compliance with regulations, maintains high standards of quality.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES




Leadership and Strategy



  • Maintain effective EHS, Quality and Product Compliance programs to for a global network of facilities.


  • Keep the organization informed of performance, improvement needs, and risks in these areas.


  • Develop and implement strategic plans for EHS, Product Compliance, and Quality management.


  • Provide leadership and guidance to the EHS, Product Compliance, and Quality teams.





Regulatory Compliance



  • Track developments in relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to the specialty chemical industry.


  • Ensure that the company's Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), product labels, shipping papers and other compliance documents are accurate and compliant, and meet the needs of our customers.


  • Maintain a Registered Product Compliance program to meet the requirements for the company's products and applications.


  • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state, national, and international regulatory requirements.


  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to address regulatory compliance.





Environmental Management



  • Oversee environmental programs to ensure the organization's activities align with environmental standards and regulations.


  • Lead continuous improvement in Sustainability / Environmental - Social - Governance.


  • Implement initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of the organization's operations.





Health and Safety Management



  • Develop and implement health and safety programs to create a safe working environment.


  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.





Quality Management:



  • Implement and maintain a quality management system.


  • Ensure products and processes meet quality standards and regulations.


  • Lead efforts for continuous improvement in quality processes.





Risk Management:



  • Identify and assess risks related to EHS and quality.


  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.





Communication and Reporting:



  • Communicate EHS, Product Compliance, and Auality performance to senior management and stakeholders.


  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.





Collaboration:



  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS and quality considerations into overall business operations.


  • Work with cross-functional teams to address issues and drive improvements.





Training and Development:



  • Provide training to employees on EHS and quality policies and procedures.


  • Foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality within the organization.





Budget Management



  • Develop and manage budgets related to EHS, Product Compliance, and Quality Department operating costs.





QUALIFICATIONS



  • 10-Years related experience including all elements of strategy and execution.


  • 10-Years operations experience in a manufacturing environment


  • 5-Years of Senior Leadership experience


  • 5-Years experience in the chemical industry


  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement efforts and corrective actions


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Ability to communicate well with plant employees, vendors, customers, and C-Suite leaders.


  • Proficient with business software platforms


  • Ability to analyze data and prepare presentations and communications


  • Working knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations


  • Experience with warehouse management software


  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365]


  • A professional and positive attitude


  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.





EDUCATION REQUREMENTS



  • Bachelor's Degree required


  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Engineering, Finance or Business or a related field preferred



  • Master's in business administration [MBA] preferred






OTHER INFORMATION



  • Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat (non-weather) and loud noise levels.


  • 5-7 Direct Reports


  • This position can work various hours.
