As the Director, Marketing and Loyalty Planning, you will have the exciting opportunity of directly supporting our Chief Marketing Officer (and Marketing and Loyalty Leadership team) on high impact priorities that will drive strategy, innovation, and performance. Siting on the Global Brand Marketing Strategy team and reporting into the Senior Director of Strategy & Planning, you will work on projects including but not limited to: Executive Communications, Team Member Engagement Strategy, Campaign and Marketing Strategy, and Annual Strategy and Planning cycles.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:


  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CMO, from conception to implementation
  • Support the Chief Marketing Officer and the Leadership Team in planning, strategy, communications, and Team Member engagement needs - conceptualize new ways of working to drive performance and cost efficiencies
  • Work with relevant teams to provide analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for growth and innovation - identify and address potential risks and issues that may impact the successful execution of marketing strategies
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to provide insights and recommendations to the CMO and the Leadership Team

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Serve as a liaison between the CMO and internal/external stakeholders , ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
  • Work cross-functionally to align with other heads of Strategic Planning and functional leaders to ensure strong collaboration, alignment , and networking on behalf of the M&L function
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other Centers of Excellence leaders to ensure the adoption of relevant enterprise-wide priorities
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Communications and Team Member Engagement activities led by the CMO and the leadership team
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the Marketing & Loyalty function, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Annual Strategy & Planning exercises, in partnership with the Sr Director of Strategy and Planning and the leadership team
  • Develop and implement processes to measure and improve the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:


  • Ten (10) years of professional experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in Consulting or Marketing role
  • Experience working and navigating large, matrixed organizations
  • Hybrid role based in McLean, VA (in person - typically four days a week)
  • Travel up to 25%

It would be useful if you have:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Previous Leadership Advisory/Chief of Staff experience
  • Experience in the Hospitality Industry
  • Experience leading people
