Functions:



• To Maintain and promote the Tyson Safety culture.


• To act as conduit between Supervisor and rest of team


• Perform various duties as required/assigned.


• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.


• Train Maintenance techs on equipment.


• Order parts as need and follow-up on parts order with outstanding PO's.


• Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant.



Description



This posting is for the Maintenance Generalist Lead position. It is scheduled for first shift. Pay is commensurate with experience between $19.10 and $26.86 per hour.


This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in the coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.



Tasks:



General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Must be willing to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.



Requirements



Six (6) Months of Industrial maintenance experience or equivalent is required and must be documented in the work history. Graduation from an industrial maintenance education program may be used in lieu of work experience. Leadership experience is preferred.

This facility accepts rehires after one year (365 days) from last day worked but does not accept candidates who have worked for Tyson three (3) or more times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
