Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Entry Specialist to join an established non-profit organization in Gaithersburg, MD! The Data Entry Specialist is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, managing membership and database functions, and ensuring smooth operational activities.


  • Location: Fully on site in Gaithersburg, MD

  • Type: Contract-to-Hire, permanent role

  • Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday

  • Salary: $42,000-$46,000 based upon experience


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide administrative assistance to various departments.

  • Manage and organize office operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Enter and manage member information, including names, addresses, and other pertinent details.

  • Oversee the receipt, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of all correspondence and packages.

  • Code and prepare checks for the accounting department.

  • Assist with financial record-keeping and reporting as needed.

  • Respond to member inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.

  • Some event planning, coordination, and execution as required.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a nonprofit organization.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
