We are seeking a Data Entry Specialist to join an established non-profit organization in Gaithersburg, MD! The Data Entry Specialist is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, managing membership and database functions, and ensuring smooth operational activities.
Location: Fully on site in Gaithersburg, MD
Type: Contract-to-Hire, permanent role
Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday
Salary: $42,000-$46,000 based upon experience
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistance to various departments.
Manage and organize office operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Enter and manage member information, including names, addresses, and other pertinent details.
Oversee the receipt, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
Ensure timely and accurate handling of all correspondence and packages.
Code and prepare checks for the accounting department.
Assist with financial record-keeping and reporting as needed.
Respond to member inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
Some event planning, coordination, and execution as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
