Johnsonville, LLC X-Ray Specialist 2nd Shift Pay Range: $25.36/hr-$26.95/hr + $1.50/hr Shift Premium Hours: 2:30pm-11:30pm; Monday - Friday (Overtime as production demands) Responsibilities:
Consistently manufacture "great tasting" sausage products according to specifications
Develop a strong set of world class skills in the area of x-ray technologies
Learn and be part of developing and enhancing new technology in the packaging department
Actively participate in daily Grill meetings and project teams
Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support the Johnsonville Way
Grow, develop, and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to JVL.
Essential Functions/Duties:
Set up and operate foreign object detection equipment
Conduct safety checks and run calibration standards through unit prior to production
Sort through rejects when there is questionable image on the reject or when there are excessively high levels of rejects
Accurately track data from all production lines in an Excel spreadsheet
Able to use SAP for calibration checks for HACCP
Investigate any foreign object trends that emerge
Set up and tear down x-ray machine equipment
Conduct monthly radiation checks for the x-ray
Complete daily paperwork for the x-ray
Keep x-ray equipment running at the correct specifications for each product
Experience:
1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong math background is required
Ability to navigate basic computer systems
Proven experience using Excel as a data entry and reporting tool
Mechanical skills necessary for equipment set up and operation
Trouble shooting/problem solving any run problems
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Must be able to maintain all GMPs
Must be able to perform packaging duties and complete packaging skill blocks
