ECS is seeking a Strategy Architect to work remote.



Job Description:


The Strategy Architect is responsible for driving initiatives that improve the alignment of the Justice and Homeland Security Business Unit (JHSBU) workforce and the practices they use, such that we continue to improve as a high-performing producer of quality IT products and services to both our federal customers and within the ECS organization. The JHSBU believes in the values and principles of Agile, therefore this role is expected to support the development of a generative culture that focuses on highly collaborative teams who are close to their customers, deliver value frequently, and align strategically to our business model and current state of corporate maturity.


The daily life of a Strategy Architect is focused on engagements with customer leadership to support their needs and gain strategic insight into how they can continuously improve. This role will require regular contact with customer leadership across all contracts as needed, to help them with their strategic planning and to guide their expectations given their own environmental constraints. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, this role also focuses on ECS internal strategic improvements that include (but are not limited to):



  • Business strategic goal formation and measurement.
  • Customer market focus and opportunities for growth.
  • Customer delivery performance evaluation and recommendations for improvement.
  • Improvements to staffing alignment on both contracts and internal operations.
  • Hiring and contract capture support as needed (as a SME).
  • Thought leader and change agent for the culture.


Job Description:
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and accountable to established goals, as well as a team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including public speaking skills.
  • Support and lead other change agents with complex delivery challenges.
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
  • Experience with coaching stances (advising, teaching, mentoring, role modeling, coaching).
  • Knowledge and application of Agile practices (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, LeSS, etc.), team coaching and leadership.
  • Lead and Sustainable Agile coaching circles and communities of practice.
  • Drive a team of coaches in larger engagements.
  • Strong consulting management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and C-level individuals.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, develop and deepen long-lasting client relationships.
  • Applying organizational development and change models.
  • Applying collaboration frameworks including the ability to plan, execute, analyze, and report large scale experiences with ten or more teams.


Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000

Required Skills:


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • 7+ years of consulting experience.
  • Experience developing organizational strategy.
  • All candidates must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security.
  • Ability to cultivate strong and trusting relationships with customers.
  • Ability to navigate a customer through the entire strategy lifecycle with a focus on strategy development and management.



Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile tools (Atlassian Suite).
  • Knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Design and Discovery.
  • 7+ years of experience guiding organizational change.
  • 7+ years of experience working with senior leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Model Generation and Value/Service Proposition Design.
