RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is looking for an Accounting Specialist in Kansas City, MO.

Summary:
The Accounting Specialist will prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The Accounting Specialist will manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for multiple reporting entities.

Responsibilities:

• Accounting Specialist will reconcile customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections


• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts


• Client invoicing, set up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books


• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks


• Process and reconcile expense reports to credit card activity


• As an Accounting Specialist, you will assist with consolidating and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements (GAAP/Tax) including monthly and annual accounts for multiple reporting entities


• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles


• Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical problem-solving skills, excellent organization skills and attention to detail


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment


• Ability to deliver results under pressure, work independently, and take ownership of assigned tasks

Preferred Skills:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred, or comparable experience


• 1-5 years of experience preferred


• Highly proficient with accounting software, Dynamics Business Central a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
