Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Windows System Administrator in Fairfax, VA.

Key Tasks:

• Windows System Administrator will be responsible for analyzing information requirements


• Evaluate system problems of workflow, organization, and planning


• Develop appropriate corrective action


• Provide technical and business support for all custom applications developed under this contract or its predecessors, the hardware and virtual infrastructure, network, and communications infrastructure


• Act as coordination point between other agencies, user groups, the project team and state personnel in the areas of network policy compliance, security patching/compliance and systems configuration management


• Systems Engineer shall be responsible for the planning and execution of configuration changes to support network policy compliance, security patching/compliance and will utilize all department required reporting/ticketing/monitoring tools to support all systems as directed by State personnel

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field


• The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience in systems administration


• Windows Servers 2019 administration


• Familiarity with virtual environments


• Troubleshooting skills

Preferred Experience:

• Windows Servers 2022 administration


• VMware


• Jira and Confluence


• Knowledge of video devices such as cameras, etc.

Additional Information:

• Maryland resident


• Hybrid work schedule between client site and remote work

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
