HR Onboarding & Compliance Specialist



Ultimate Staffing is working with a non-profit organization seeking an Onboarding & Compliance Specialist to join their human resources team. The ideal candidate will enjoy making a positive impact in the community and have prior experience in a dedicated Onboarding Specialist or HR Assistant role.



Hybrid role in Howard County, MD.


Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM


Some mandatory overtime required.


$22.50 hourly




Responsibilities:

Verify, document, and track certifications and education.
Conduct background checks.
Assist with the completion of new hire paperwork.
Track applicants in HRIS system.
Create new employee digital file.
Assist with benefits enrollment.
Set up new hires in payroll system.
Provide timely correspondence with all applicants via email and phone.
Review state and federal tax forms for compliance.
Provide assistance with compliance related tasks as needed.



Requirements:

Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, Outlook.
At least 1 year of experience in a dedicated HR role.
Experience withHRIS sytems, Paycom, and E-verify.
Previous onboarding experience in a fast paced environment.
Extreme attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
