Meta seeks a highly motivated, energetic tech enthusiast to serve as Product Counsel for our AI product counseling team. The role is dedicated to advising the AI product teams on legal and regulatory issues, which will require application of complex, evolving legal frameworks to a new and innovative space. Associate General Counsel, AI Product Responsibilities:
Review proposed AI and ML initiatives, including research, to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including consumer protection laws, IP, data protection laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks
Coordinate with public policy, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues
Minimum Qualifications:
J.D. (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar
8+ years of legal experience
Experience working independently and cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with mobile, application development, social networking, or other Internet companies
Understanding of AI and ML practices and underlying technology
In-house and privacy experience
Technology litigation experience
Product review experience
International experience
Experience managing a team

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
