Associate Engineer - MS&T Process




Gaithersburg, MD



We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Scientist/Engineer to play a pivotal role in our Cell Therapy Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory activities, providing crucial support for large-scale investigations, and optimizing manufacturing processes.



Responsibilities:



  • Complete laboratory experiments and support large-scale investigations to advance the Cell Therapy Program.

  • Provide hands-on support for manufacturing process activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enhance efficiency within the Cell Therapy Program.

  • Analyze data, solve issues, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

  • Contribute to the design and execution of experiments, as well as the interpretation of results.




Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field, physical sciences, or equivalent focus of study.

  • Science or Engineering BS 2-5 years, MS 1-3 years in a cGMP biopharmaceutical production setting with a focus in large-scale mammalian cell culture processes.

  • Proven experience in laboratory execution and manufacturing process support, ideally within the cell therapy or biotechnology field.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach and the capacity to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the cell therapy industry is advantageous.




Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with process optimization and validation in a cell therapy or biotechnology setting.

  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and cleanroom practices.

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software for data interpretation.

  • Experience in technology transfer and scale-up of manufacturing processes.

  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
