Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Engineering assignments/projects. Designs and develops a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake which store all critical data across Customer, Provider, Claims, Client and Benefits data. Designs, develops and implements methods, processes, tools and analyses to sift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns. Participates in the delivery of the definitive enterprise information environment that enables strategic decision-making capabilities across enterprise via an analytics and reporting. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Information Management but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of a business need end-to-end starting from understanding the requirements to deploying the software into production.
Ownership and accountability for the products developed.
Delivery and have a constant focus on automation continuous improvement.
Drive the adoption of CI/CD tools and support the improvement of the tools sets/processes.
Be a Subject Matter expert using Software engineering to perform data analysis.
Understand the interrelationships between systems, and be able to write working software that will successfully integrate and interface these systems.
From a system and design perspective understand how different pieces work together and use library calls, REST APIs, database queries, etc.) To communicate with them.
Play a technical role in an enterprise area responsible for driving innovative analytical methods to better align IT analytics with Cigna's short-term and long-term goals, adding value by adopting software engineering best practices.
Possess excellent analytical and technical skills coupled with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. The individual will be hands-on with architecture and design to support various Cigna organizations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
5+ year's application development experience.
Experience with Java, Springboot and client server application development.For reference - the Express Scripts technology stack includes:JAVA, J2EE, Unix, Oracle, Mule, RESTful web services, SaaS, PCF and Springboot.
Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.
