Location



We are seeking a full- time Athletic Trainer to support our Neurosurgery and Spine practice. We are located at 4 Centennial Drive, Suite 204, Peabody, MA. Our Neurosurgery and Spine Care experts work effectively to treat pain, restore function and enable patients to regain an active lifestyle through a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment of spine conditions. The hours of operations for the office are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

General Overview



Our Certified Athletic Trainer plays an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Certified Athletic Trainer ensures smooth patient flow within the practice and assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner.


For outreach functions and duties, the Athletic Trainer functions within the limits of their licensure as defined within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MGL Chapter 112: Section 23A and CMR 259 - 4.00) to schools, teams or organizations with whom NSPG has a contractual relationship with for the provision of Athletic Training Services. Provides athletic training evaluation, intervention and documentation for adolescent through adult populations as indicated.


Assists with program development and community programs. Acts as a clinical resource to staff.



Qualifications

Required





  • Graduate of an accredited Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Program.

  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts




Preferred





  • One year of ATC/physician extender experience.

  • In addition to the required degree, an Associates Degree or completion of a Medical Assistant program. Nursing Assistant certification or other healthcare preparation will be considered.

  • Certification by the NATA as a Certified Athletic Trainer
