As the senior member of the corporate tax team, the Senior Manager Tax will partner with the Vice President, Tax on all US federal and state income tax activities including the complex technical aspects of: Accounting for Income taxes, Income Tax return preparation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Asset Divestitures, Tax Planning, and Tax Technical writing.\n

Education and Experience


  • Active CPA required (please include CPA license number on resume or application)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics is preferred

  • Advanced degree in Taxation is preferred

  • Minimum 12 years' experience in Tax with a combination of public and corporate accounting

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment, managing competing priorities and the pressures associated with tax filings and general business demands

  • Strong ethical approach, including a sense of duty and obligation to the team

  • Experience in working from home managing personal and professional commitments

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to professionals not trained in tax

  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, specifically ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes

  • Extensive experience in filing both federal and state income tax returns

  • Working knowledge of Oracle and OneSource Income Tax is preferred


Pay Rate: Min - $137,300 | Max - $205,950 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily activities of the Tax Department in carrying out all functions necessary for the accurate, and efficient completion of all compliance and reporting required

  • Be an integral part of building and executing a road map for the future of the tax team

  • Close collaboration with cross-functional business leaders in Finance, Accounting, Legal, etc.

  • Identify ways to reduce the company's taxes by reviewing prior processes and documentation

  • Review tax implications of the organization's strategic business initiatives

  • Stay informed regarding new and proposed tax legislation potentially impacting the Company

  • Champion operational excellence and drive change focusing on efficiency and risk reduction

  • Experience with income tax provision software implementation

  • Write tax technical memos addressing tax issues for both internal and external audiences

  • Ensure documentation and appropriate support for technical tax positions taken is timely

  • Prepare and review the year-end income tax provisions per ASC 740

  • Prepare and review financial statement disclosures relating to income tax

  • Calculate quarterly federal and state estimated income tax payments

  • Manage and review the accurate and timely filing of all federal and state income tax returns

  • Manage responses to US federal and state tax notices and audits

  • Exposure to indirect taxes such as property, sales & use, excise, and unclaimed property
