Job Description



Waste Disposal Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Packaging expired chemicals for shipment or disposal.


• Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and takes back to laboratory for reuse.


• Maintains chemical storage area to keep it clutter-free and free of fire hazards.


• Ships hazardous waste from the laboratory prior to the RCRA time limit for the facility.


• Tracks volume of waste generated for reporting to corporate and EPA.


• Prepares and tracks implementation of Waste Minimization Plan.


• Orders and maintains chemical inventory for the laboratory.


• Manages consignment room to keep all laboratory areas supplied.


• Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed.

Qualifications



The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills


• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude


• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent


• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information



Position is Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PAare encouraged to apply.


•Employee would start as a Technician, and be expected to complete RCRA and DOT/IATA training and certification, paid for by Eurofins, within the first 90 days.
