Title: Provider & Network Analytics Managing Director

Role Summary

The Provider & Network Analytics Managing Director role is an opportunity for a proven leader to own and execute a vision for how applied data, analytics, tools, and analytics can maximize Cigna's Affordability position to better sell and retain business. This role will work collaboratively with business stakeholders to provide strategic thought partnership in analytics, build and prioritize an operational roadmap and develop required analytics solutions that leverage data science and technology to embed analytics into our provider & network workflows.

The Provider & Network Analytics Managing Director is responsible for the execution of work in support US Employer and Behavioral markets which includes Unit Cost Contracting, US Medical Trends, Network Development, and Provider Analytic Products. The position will need to understand our growth and network priorities and opportunities and work closely with segment, geographic and Enterprise level business partners to ensure the analytic solutions (e.g., data, monitoring, or analytics) are developed and operationalized.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic analytics roadmap for our business analytics stakeholders, supporting near and longer-term initiative planning and value-based prioritization in alignment with Cigna's Affordability and Product strategies.

• Provide guidance and leadership for piloting and testing new analytic-driven strategies optimizing business outcomes and impact.

• Reshape and challenge the way we do business by embedding data and analytics in all aspects of the provider contracting and trend management and monitoring.

• Possess and develop strong relationships with Network Management, Pricing and Financial reserving partners.

• Own and execute analytics strategy and solutions roadmap for our business stakeholders, including valuing solution alternatives, coordinating/sequencing dependencies, development of necessary business cases.

• Develop and refine targeting analytics to enable local provider contracting teams to better deploy network cost improvement that best align to Cigna's value proposition. Develop a multi-year action plan to target improved competitiveness within each local market.

• Develop and refine Provider segmentation analytics to better align Cigna resources to the high performing providers and value-based arrangements.

• Oversee the generation of analytics to understand the performance of Provider and network teams, as well as test the effectiveness of ideation through test and learn.

• Define the talent strategy required to achieve business needs; providing individual and team leadership to business analytics and data science team to ensure they are growing their capabilities and achieving their career goals.

Required Skills

• Minimum 15 years' industry experience solving business problems through the application of analytic approaches, prior experience supporting sales & distribution processes preferred but not required.

• Experience in healthcare, health services, employer-based actuarial consulting, network discount analysis as well as data and analytics strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in understanding statistical analysis for purposes of guiding and overseeing Provider Analytics work.

• Combination of analytical, technical, and business acumen.

• Proven track record for success in leading high-performing teams in a matrixed environment.

• Demonstrated thought leadership on challenging problems with examples of implementing innovative analytic solutions and driving outstanding results.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex matrix organizations and agile teams.

• Blend creativity, relentless problem-solving, business acumen, and leadership to drive innovation through analytics working with Innovation team.

• Strong verbal/written communication and leadership skills to work with various matrix partners, including but not limited to actuarial, medical economics, business, marketing, and engineering.

• Ability to manage a vision and purpose with various business stakeholders and analytics teams.

• Effective leadership, prioritization, and management of complex deliverable portfolio in a dynamic environment.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 222,800 - 371,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
