Job Description:

Purpose of Role


The Maintenance Supervisor serves as a liaison between the Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Technicians, ensuring priorities are aligned and overseeing the execution of work. This role is responsible for planning, assigning, and supervising the daily work of the maintenance team, ensuring work is completed accurately and within the expected timeframe. This role does not have direct reports


Areas of Accountabilities



  • Manage and supervise the daily execution of maintenance work, which includes ensuring parts and supplies are available, planning and assigning work, providing effective and timely team communication of work status and updates, and overseeing the work to ensure efficient and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Serve as the point person for maintenance-related issues and questions.
  • Develop the preventative maintenance calendar and make necessary preparations to effectively complete all preventative maintenance work in accordance with the schedule.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation, which may include documentation related to preventative maintenance, preparation for an internal reliability audit, etc.
  • Develops SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
  • Manage the planning and execution of work for maintenance-related improvement projects.
  • Perform maintenance work alongside maintenance technicians; assist in training maintenance technicians and provide guidance to the team on work procedures.
  • Assist with troubleshooting as needed.
  • May be asked to fill in for the Maintenance Manager on occasion.



Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


Experience in maintaining and repairing injection molding machines and related equipment.

In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility.

Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.

Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems relevant to injection molding.

Familiarity with machine control systems, PLCs, and robotics used in injection molding processes.
