Saw Operator - WEEKEND at Ground Force

Job Description:

Ground Force Worldwide has an opening for a Saw Operator. Are you organized, can track significant detail, have the ability to move quickly, and can work in a heavy industrial environment? If so, we have the role for you. Starting Wage $23-$28/hour depending on experience. Weekend shift - work Fri - Sun 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.

The Saw Operator position is responsible for setting up and operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim metallic and non-metallic materials. They are the ones who choose and install blades on machinery using hand-tools and verify dimensions of finished material using measuring devices. This position has responsibility to keep to budgeted hours described on the job and perform with minimal error to reduce risk of loss.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Setting up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job

  • Set stops or guides to specific lengths

  • Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues

  • Inspect material for damage and proper thickness

  • Notify team-leader and/or makes necessary adjustments or repairs to saw if needed

Position Requirements:


  • The ability to set-up, adjust and operate a saw machine

  • The ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints

  • Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as tape measures, micrometers, and Vernier calipers

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently throughout the day

  • One (1) year experience in similar role

  • High School diploma or equivalent
