Job Description: Assistant Receiving Supervisor

Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Receiving Supervisor to support our receiving operations. The Assistant Receiving Supervisor will assist in overseeing the receiving team, ensuring accurate recording of received materials into SAP or relevant systems. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Receiving Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting safety practices, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:



  • Support Supervisor: Assist the Receiving Supervisor in leading and coordinating daily activities of the receiving team.


  • Material Receipt: Ensure timely and accurate recording of received materials into SAP or other designated systems.


  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and practices among receiving team members.


  • Training and Development: Assist in training and developing receiving team members to enhance their skills and performance.


  • Inventory Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in designated storage areas to facilitate easy access and retrieval.


  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to received materials, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.


  • Communication: Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, production) to ensure smooth and efficient material flow and support operational needs.


  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in receiving operations to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
     

Qualifications:



  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferred.


  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.


  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in recording and documenting information.


  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and support team goals.


  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.


  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and the ability to learn and use ERP systems (e.g., SAP).


  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and propose solutions.


  • Leadership Potential: Desire to grow into a leadership role with demonstrated leadership qualities.
     

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Additional education or certifications related to logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations are a plus.
